Caparsa In-Villa Wine Tasting

One of the most esteemed producers in Radda in Chianti, Caparsa is a family-run winery that is entirely organic, from vineyard to cellar. Owners, Paolo and Gianna have been running the estate since 1982 with the help of their five sons and daughter. In this welcoming wine-tasting experience, the authentic Sangiovese red wines of Chianti are brought to your luxury villa rental. 

Just one of a series of ‘Winery’ in-villa tastings led by Gio Stella, the Tuscan winemaker spotlights exceptional wines from the local estates he works with. His goal as a winemaker is to make the best wine in the kindest way for the environment, something that will shine through in this hands-on tasting of Caparsa’s wines. For Gio, the charm of Caparsa’s wine is that they are “friendly and truthful… just like the people who take care of them!”. 

Sample Caparsa’s Sangiovese wines from your villa in Tuscany 

In this private in-villa wine tasting, Gio Stella will introduce you to five organic wines produced on the Caparsa estate in Radda in Chianti. This iconic region is known for its beauty, romance and quality wine production, so, unsurprisingly, Sangiovese is the main grape grown at Caparsa. Alongside Chianti Classico, the family also grows Trebbiano grapes and recently produced their first orange wine.

Gio will lead you on a tasting journey through the iconic Chianti terroir that makes each Caparsa wine unique. As an experienced winegrower, he offers a refreshing perspective on Chianti wines, as someone who has cultivated the vines and knows the land firsthand. And the best part is, you get to experience an authentic Chianti winery from the comfort and privacy of your Tuscan holiday rental. 

Each tasting can also be accompanied and appropriately paired with the famous Tuscan bruschetta, topped with local seasonal ingredients at an additional cost. Alessandro Pieragnoli runs a popular bruschetteria in San Gimignano and can tailor each accompanying dish to the wines you will taste.

The private wine tasting will last 1.5 hours and can be arranged at a time that suits you and your guests. Gio Stella will host the wine tasting at your private villa in Tuscany with the optional support of Alessandro Pieragnoli who can pair the tasting with a selection of Tuscan bruschetta.
