Venice Art Experience
What could be more memorable than witnessing Venice through the eyes of an art expert? When you add a three-day art experience to your luxury villa rental near Venice you will not only learn the ins and outs of landscape painting but enjoy an exclusive tour of some of the city’s most important landmarks.
Award-winning artist and instructor, Tanvi Pathare will guide you as you learn to paint the region’s iconic scenery en plein air (“outdoors”). Spend the first two days unwinding with brush and canvas in the peace and seclusion of your villa’s landscaped grounds, enjoying lunch al fresco and immersing yourself in the world of Venetian art.
Our Venetian villas are steeped in history as well — take Ca’ di Lista for example, a sumptuous 16th-century hunting lodge a mere stone's throw from Venice, designed by an apprentice of Veronese.
Tour Venice with an art expert
On the third and final day of your art retreat, Tanvi will guide you into the historic centre of Venice. Let Tanvi lead you along winding canals, through the resplendent halls of the Palazzo Ducale, before regaling you with the history of the Sala Grande di San Rocco and the masterful colour work of Tintoretto.
There are endless opportunities in Venice to uncover brilliant masterpieces, whether a Bellini altarpiece at the Chiesa di San Zaccaria or the sumptuous atelier of Mariano Fortuny at the Palazzo Fortuny. You will be given the choice of several renowned museums and landmarks to uncover in more depth, as well as some fantastic hidden gems you might otherwise miss on your own.

The first two days of painting at your luxury villa will begin at 10am, when Tanvi will provide you with your easel, paints and canvases. You will paint together until 1pm before breaking for a leisurely lunch and perhaps a quick dip in your private pool. In the afternoon, you will continue painting from 2:30pm until 5:30pm, just in time for a well-deserved aperol spritz.
On the third and final day, you will head into the heart of Venice and will be given a private tour of one of the city’s museums like the Palazzo Ducale. Spend the morning exploring before breaking for lunch. In the afternoon you can either continue your museum tour or walk through Venice to another of the city’s landmarks.
