Discover the birthplace of the famous Mille Miglia classic car race in a unique vintage car experience that will lead you from the bustling centre of Brescia to the calming shores of Lake Garda. Whether self-guided or led by an expert tour leader in a pace car, enjoy a round trip through the sublime landscapes of Lombardy from the luxury of your vintage car — the ultimate destination for classic car lovers.
The route begins in the historic centre of Brescia and retraces a portion of the famous classic car race. Follow the shoreline of Lago di Garda to the peninsula town of Sirmione, one of the lake’s prettiest destinations, with its crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches. The drive should take approximately 1 hour each way, leaving you plenty of time to stop off for a bite to eat and explore the many historical landmarks and natural wonders along the way. If you are staying in one of our nearby
luxury villas in Venice or Verona, you can

Personalise your itinerary in Lombardy
With just two hours of driving to complete your round trip, the Mille Miglia Vintage Car Experience: Lombardy Edition, invites you to relish the beauty of Lombardy and Lake Garda at a far more leisurely pace, combining the region’s cultural landmarks with a pitstop or two to sample the exquisite local cuisine. Following the pick-up and briefing on how to use your classic car at 10.00am, how you choose to fill your day can be completely customised to you.
Explore the medieval castles of Lenato del Garda, Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione, with their spectacular lakeside views, or stop for a spot of sunbathing on one of the many scenic beaches along the route. The province of Brescia is also home to Bresciano Extra Virgin olive oil (DOP); why not take a detour in your classic convertible along the west coast and stop for an olive oil tasting and private olive mill tour. Or, head straight to Sirmione, wander narrow cobbled streets, dip in and out of frescoed churches and stop for a fresh seafood lunch and cold glass of Soave while lapis-blue water laps at your feet.
Car enthusiasts cannot miss the Museo Mille Miglia on their return to Brescia, dedicated to the famous ‘Red Arrow’ race, before stopping in the Taverna Mille Miglia for an evening aperitivo. Once you have returned your vintage car, however reluctantly, end the day in one of the city’s fine restaurants and treat yourself to a crisp glass of sparkling Franciacorta DOCG and a serving of local Italian caviar.
