The nearby towns of Pienza, Montalcino (known for Brunello wine), San Quirico, and Montepulciano are easily accessible, along with other charming destinations such as Castiglione d’Orcia, Radicofani, Bagno Vignoni, and Bagni San Filippo. For daily necessities, grocery shops and bars are conveniently located within 1 km in Campiglia d'Orcia, reachable via a short 10-minute walk or a 2-minute drive. Additionally, a small Coop supermarket in Vivo d'Orcia, 6 km away, and larger supermarkets in Abbadia San Salvatore, just 13 km from the villa, offer further shopping options. Restaurants and traditional osterias can be found within a 13 km radius. For a taste of local life, don't miss the weekly market in Abbadia San Salvatore, held fortnightly on Thursdays.

What an amazing time we had in Tuscany at Bel Sentiero! We came here with 4 other couples to celebrate milestone birthdays. We just happened to be able to celebrate 3 anniversaries that occurred during that time also! We visited Pienza, Florence, Montepulciano + Montalcino. Jan was an amazing host. He recommended I Lecci + it was fantastic! We had fantastic meals at the villa too + he was such a great resource! The outdoor veranda is spectacular. We enjoyed many great meals + laughs there. What an exciting adventure we’ve had in Tuscany! Bel Sentiero is a beautiful villa! It has everything you could ever need to make your vacation perfect. We spent most of our time in the lovely, large veranda. Breakfast and dinners were so special looking at the amazing views! The pool and hot tub just added to the enjoyment! We took tours to Tuscan cities that were close by so never a dull moment. Jan was a perfect host. So kind and friendly! And the food!! Amazing!! Our week was just perfect. Loved every minute. Thank you especially to Jan for making our every wish come true.

Jan, I should invent some new superlatives to describe our stay. The property, house, and accommodation were beautiful. As great as everything was, your hospitality was even better. You were genuinely happy to greet and welcome us (the prosecco was a nice touch) and we instantly felt right at home and comfortable. You were a great and informative host and you provided every service we needed. I specially enjoyed and looked forward to our conversations before breakfast each day. Bel Sentiero is an ideal place at which to spend a Tuscan holiday. The property is absolutely beautiful. Jan is a terrific host – friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The chef-prepared meals were fabulous and made even more special enjoying them on the veranda with amazing views of the countryside. From the villa we walked to Campiglia d’Orcia just above the property and made day trips to Pienza, Montepulciano and even Siena. For those days at leisure, you can’t beat the veranda, infinity pool and that tub. Thank you, Jan, for making our week in Tuscany very, very enjoyable! Jerry and Alma

We have been fortunate to travel to many wonderful places all over the world. Tuscany is one of our favourite. One of our dreams was to stay in a villa, using it as a base to explore and feel like we were home. Well, check that off. Bel Sentiero was the perfect place for Lynda and I and our friends to make that happen. Thank you to Jan, our gracious host and owner who made us feel like it was home/ we were able to travel to many hill towns and enjoy dinner “up the hill” at Locanda d’Orcia. The beauty of the view, the infinity pool, eating every meal outside was everything we imagined. In addition the pasta making class at Bel Sentiero was really fun and some of the best food we had. In summary the combination of relaxing atmosphere, location to see Tuscany hill towns, good food and a beautiful villa made this a very special holiday. Richard and Lynda

Bel Sentiero is a fantastic property. It is a beautiful setting, situated perfectly in the Orcia Valley region of Tuscany. It is a lovely home and the pool area is very special. Jan, the owner is a gracious host who makes the experience even better. The rooms are nice, the food is great. The huge covered space by the pool is where we spent most of our time. We ate our meals there, drank wine there and even sang and danced there. With a breath taking view and a wonderful breeze it made you feel you were really living in Tuscany. I have been to Tuscany many times, but this was living a dream. I can go on and on, but certainly this was a 5 star vacation.

We had a wonderful time at Bel Sentiero. My husband and I stayed there three weeks with various family members and friends. We really enjoyed hanging out in the outdoor veranda and the pool area when we were not visiting the surrounding hill towns. We had our daily breakfasts and dinners in this beautiful veranda enjoying the wonderful views. The villa is fully air-conditioned, and the lawn is lined with a beautiful rosemary hedged. It is a great base to visit the beautiful towns of Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, the Banfi winery, and other small towns. We were also able to visit, although a bit further, Siena, San Gimignano, Assisi and Florence. Jan was an amazing host, catering for all our needs. Between him and Renzo (the chef), we experienced many wonderful and tasty Tuscan dishes. Our family and friends will always remember these special days we experienced at Bel Sentiero.
