Montepulciano, 3 Km/1.9 mil from Dadianora, is renowned for its fine wine with various festivities throughout the year and the roads that wind through hills and valleys leading to the town of Montepulciano are some of the most enchanting in Tuscany. It offers a broad choice of restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. The local market is held every Thursday. Pienza, 10.3 Km/6.4 mil, a quiet and picturesque village nearby offers a selection of shops and bars. Daily markets can be found at many of the nearby hilltop towns and villages, dependant on the day of the week, such as the nearby Cortona about 20 minutes away. Montalcino, Monticchiello, Montefollonico as other fascinating towns and cities are within easy reach. Just a little further away are also Florence, Siena and the Umbrian cities of Orvieto, Todi and Perugia.
