The property is only 5 minutes drive (3,5 km distance) from the town centre of Arezzo, where the guests can find a wide array of shops, bars and restaurants, with the nearest just 2 minutes drive away. Also available, are large and small supermarkets and the local weekly market on Saturday morning. The centre of Arezzo has splendid monuments, churches, palaces and museums that preserve artistic Renaissance masterpieces by artists such as Piero della Francesca and Vasari, and of other artistic periods. On the penultimate Saturday in June or the first Sunday in September, the central Piazza Grande becomes the setting for the Giostra del Saracino, a chivalric tournament of medieval origin.

Railway station: Arezzo, 3 Km/1.9 miles - 5 mins by car. Bus stop: Arezzo Esso petrol station, 450 mt/0.3 miles - 5 minutes' walk. Nearest state highway: SS73 exit at 2 minutes drive from the villa. The automatic gate with video intercom opens onto a 40 m driveway that leads through the greenery to the property. There are 2 large parking spaces.

It is hard to believe our amazing 3 weeks are over. Our expectations fell short as this was truly a slice of paradise. Who could have imagined this exquisite little villa surrounded by olive trees in blossom, a natural pod, meandering pathways, and lovely vistas of the distant hills. Wow!! The owners have incorporated the newer amenities while keeping the original charm and beauty of original architecture. Bravo! We have loved also the location of Delpietre. A few minutes to town, the fabulous grocery store Esselunga. Very easy to travel to other Tuscan towns. Our special thanks to Giorgio, an amazing new friend, who was always available and accommodating. His warm welcome with his beautiful niece Matilde explained all the amenities of the house which we very much enjoyed. And to Carla, who came every week to make the home new and clean. We also enjoyed the delicious olive oil and coffee. Thank you for all your very generous welcome gifts. We so appreciated your hospitality. We have loved our two weeks here in this beautiful, peaceful villa. We split our time between relaxing here in the grounds & surrounding area and other days exploring further (Siena, Pisa, Florence, etc). The Tuscany Now and More guide is very useful – thank you to Giorgio also sent fantastic information & links. A highlight for us was Parco di Villa Severi – just a quiet park nearby but has a lake containing lots of very inquisitive & friendly turtles. The welcome pack on our 1st day was a godsend as we were so late. Thanks again to Giorgio and the TNAM Team. Fantastic time. Hope everyone to come enjoys as much as us. Pete, Karla, Ben & Amy

We have had a lovely 2 weeks at this beautiful + very well maintained villa. It is a great location for many trips in both Tuscany + Umbria. The wildlife in the garden + surroundings is wonderful, including dragonflies, deer, snakes + a porcupine – we are sure this must in part be due to the eco-friendly way the property is run. A special thank you to the owners and Giorgio for their patience + kindness during our stay + to Carla for keeping the house so spotlessly clean. We have very much appreciated the many special touches including the fantastic welcome pack, fresh flowers + well-equipped BBQ. And of course a mention to Bianchina whom we loved meeting. Thank you for the most wonderful week relaxing and unwinding in the most idyllic setting. The weather has been absolutely perfect + we’ve loved every minute of our time here. Our 11 month old particularly loved the pool (+ learning to open + close the kitchen cabinets!). Thank you to Giorgio also who has been so welcoming + helpful. We will be back!

We had a special two weeks in Villa Delpietre. Many thanks to Giorgio for making our stay so comfortable and helping to celebrate a special 60th birthday with flowers and taking some group photos for us.
We visited Cortona, Firenze (by train which was very easy), Montepulciano (everything closed on Mondays), Siena, Castiglione del Lago (which was different and a lovely trip by the lake).
We had some excellent meals at Lancia D'oro, Chianteria, Le chiavi d'oro and a local pizzeri just up the road ""Ristorante Giostra"", nice fish on Thursdays and Fridays.

We have had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Villa as part of our Tuscan summer holiday.
The Villa has been the perfect base for alternating between day trips to the various Tuscan towns and days chilling by the pool. The bio-pool is fantastic, the water so clear! We would love to come back for another visit.

We had a wonderful stay here at the Villa Delpietre (or Villa Lago). We enjoyed the "bio-lago" everyday and Bianchina started to feel like an extra family member who we came home to in the evening. We recommend visiting Florence, Cortona, Siena and also Lucignano, which we visited on our way to Siena. The house had everything we needed and made our stay here in Tuscany very relaxing and enjoyable.

We have had a wonderful time at Villa Delpietre in a very comfortable and relaxing heaven! The Villa is glorious and we have greatly enjoyed using all the amenities - especially swimming in the amazing pool accompanied by the very friendly and curious "Bianchina". Very easy to get to Florence, Siena and of course Arezzo for our day trips but also a great place to just chill out in the very warm spring sunshine. We hope to come back in the summer to enjoy everything again. Thank you!
