Montepulciano, 17km/11 miles, renowned world over for its fine wine with various festivities throughout the year. Petrignano, 2.2km/1.3 miles, a quiet and tranquil village offers a small selection of shops [also open on Sunday morning] and bars. Slightly further away lies Valiano, 3km/1.9 mile, with a bar and pharmacy. A large supermarket and an array of shops, bars and restaurants are at Castiglione del Lago, 14km/9 miles, to the east. Daily markets can be found at many of the nearby hilltop towns and villages, dependant on the day of the week, such as nearby Cortona about 20 minutes away. North of the Etruscan hilltop town of Sarteano, famous for thermal baths and the Etruscan museum and underground passageways of Chiusi, both can be reached in 40 minutes. For those on pursuit of unspoilt natural beauty the Val d’Orcia, protected by UNESCO, is a must. Siena and Perugia, both about 45 minutes. Orvieto, and Assisi just over the border in Umbria can be reached in just over an hour. July and August offer extensive opportunities to enjoy music, dance and theatre in the local area. Perugia Jazz, Montepulciano Cantiere Internationale D’Arte and Torrita Jazz are but a few of the many local festivals during the summer months.

We have had the most wonderful week. Thank you so much La Badiole! It was so wonderful to come to such a beautiful place, such a lovely villa and garden. We had an awesome time swimming in the pool each day, explore nearby towns such as Montepulciano and Perugia. Bike riding to the lake and having amazing food everywhere we went. The villa (a lovingly restored farmhouse) was beautiful with good space and great layout for a large group with plenty of seating. The grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. Miriana, the caretaker, and her Team were excellent. Daily breakfast and arrival + additional dinners were fantastic and would highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity. It is remote/in a vineyard which has excellent views and sunsets are amazing. The infinity pool was really nice. It is well positioned between Cortona and Montepulciano with access to a lot of Tuscany. The wish list our group had for a villa including AC, en-suite bathrooms with showers for each room, pool, outdoor space with a view, pizza/bread oven, and great communal space were all there. Wish we could stay so much longer!!

My family had so much fun staying here back in 2019 for my mom's surprise birthday celebration with friends from when she was in grade 9! So much fun, the entire group of 12 decided we all had to come back! Due to Covid our trip was postponed but we finally made it back and we are all so thrilled to be here. This year we enjoyed biking tours, sitting by the pool and exploring the towns surrounding us. We also made friends with a cute little kitten who we named "Luna". La Badiole is a comfortable and well equipped Tuscan Farm House in a secluded location with beautiful views and a wonderful caretaker. The house has been tastefully converted, retaining it’s Tuscan feel and heritage. The 6 spacious bedrooms are all en-suite with air conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge and study areas are spacious and comfortable. The gardens are nicely maintained, the outside patio and dining areas provide plenty of shade and offer spectacular views, especially as the sun is setting. The very lovely infinity pool is solar heated, was very clean and has a comfortable, shaded seating area. Miriana, the caretaker, provided a number of meals for our 3 generation family, she was charming, obliging and the food provided by her and her team was excellent. A special family holiday which we all much enjoyed.

The Villa is outstanding with air conditioned large bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. It is a well appointed home with a fabulous kitchen including an outside pizza oven as well. Mariana the house keeper was amazing and made us some delicious meals. It’s centrally located so great for quick half day jaunts to various towns and villages followed by a relaxing afternoon by the infinity pool. The views especially during sunset are stunning. Highly recommend this villa.

Our family appreciated our time very much. We did like the rooms/bathrooms and the outside environment. The former because it fitted our family very nicely and the latter because it was both very beautiful and ideal to our kids to play.

La Badiole, looked incredible in its online description and exceeded expectations. Our vacation, from the first inquiries about the villa to our actual stay, could not have been better. Everything is amazing. The views and landscaping are beautiful. The pictures in the property brochure do not do it justice, but because of the properties many levels and lush hedges it is probably impossible to fully show off its beauty. The house is very well stocked. Miriana is very attentive and has been most helpful if any questions arise.

La Grande Sorpresa - The Big Surprise - Four couples from Vancouver BC Canada area arrived surreptitously -from various points- on aug 31st to give Cheril Nagle a surprise she is not likely to forget. Months in the planning, Ale and Kathy Rylandsholm, Vic and Suzanne (Fletcher - Hauschka), Cliff and Mary McCracken, Theresa and Mike Beamish miraculously appeared on the back patio, all within an hour, sitting in wait while Ric, Paige and Kate Kendall (Cheryl's family) lured her into the trap surprise! Cheryl nearly jumped out of her skin as old and dear friends appeared as something more than apparitions to celebrate her 60th birthday. After the tears dried and Cheryl found her equilibrium, the gang spent a joyous week - touring, lounging by the pool, playing cards, biking, exploring, marveling at the tuscan sunsets, revelling in the ambiance of La Badiole, drinking great wine and food. There was even a learn-to-make pizza night that turned out to be a hoot. The week went much too fast. We wanted more of this place. It was sad to leave. Still, we're sustained by the happy memories of our tuscan adventures. Wherever our paths lead us, we know we'll always have fond remembrance of La Badiole, a Nagle-inspired holiday

We had an amazing 2 weeks at La Badiole celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with 3 generations of family. We all felt so at home from the youngest to the oldest and agree that, no matter what fantastic sights Tuscany had to offer, none was more beautiful than the view from La Badiole. A special place in our hearts and memories always.

We've been most impressed with Tuscany Now and More. At the villa, the housekeeper was excellent and could't have been more helpful.The setting was absolutely beautiful and the size of the house allowed all our party to enjoy being together as well having privacy when required. The heated pool was a highlight for all.

We chose La Badiole for our family reunion. This was our 3rd time with Tuscany Now & More, and we are sure it won´t be the last time.
All members from 1 year to 73 years loved this place. The villa is absolutely fantastic and tastefully decorated. The outside area is beautiful with great view. Lots of activities for all ages.
We give La Badiole our warmest recommendation.

The villa was absolutely stunning! Especially the gardens. We knew instantly it must be an English family that owned the house because the landscaping was beautiful. The views from the villa were like painting! The pool is large and the cabana is very useful when the weather gets hot. The villa itself is beautiful and it's obvious the owners spent a lot of time and expense building it. The kitchen are large and well-equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and clean and well-appointed.
The whole place is nestled in between neighboring vineyards. It is a bit isolated but in a good way. It's an easy drive into Valiano or Petrignano and Cortona, Montepulicano and Castiglione del Lago are short drives away.
The caretaker, Miriana, is a gem and responds quickly to questions and requests. The whole holiday will be one my family does not soon forget!

La Badiole is the most beautiful villa we have ever rented. Great view, overlooking the vineyards. A well maintained garden. A lot of space for the whole party (we were 8). Nice pool, ping pong table and bikes at our disposal. Miriana as a house manager was very helpful and responsive to all our request, questions. Thanks a lot Miriana!

We have nothing but praise for Tuscany Now and More. The description of beautiful La Badiole was as we found it. Caretaker Miriana was delightful and helpful but, more importantly, one of our party had a medical problem and Tuscany Now and More were absolutely brilliant and could not have been more helpful. We felt we were in good hands. We are truly grateful to them.

The villa met and exceeded all expectations from the well kept grounds to the beautiful faucets, sinks and vanities, bed linens, appliances, tableware and plenty of wine glasses. The home was clean and very well furnished. the 10 of us especially enjoyed eating on the vine covered patio lit by candles each evening as we watch the sunset. And we didn't mind being awakened by the neighborhood roosters each morning. In the morning having breakfast outside to see the views was awesome. We could see Valiano and other hilltop towns in the distance as well as the outline of the Appenines. The pool served us well. Miriana, the caretaker, left us pasta, wine, fresh peccorino cheese, fagioli and home grown fresh tomatoes for our first meal. Fortunately, we had a couple of good cooks in our group! On the last night Miriana and her helper prepared homemade pizzas for us in the wood fired pizza oven on the patio. What a treat to see and taste! All of us agreed it was week we'll never forget.

Every expectation was met and exceeded from the well maintained grounds to the cleanliness of the villa to the beautiful appointments - faucets, sinks and vanities, appliances and cookware. The platters and dishes were beautiful to use and plenty of wine glasses. We loved the vine covered patio where 10 of us ate every night. An especially nice touch was the gift of wine, pasta, fagioli, fresh home grown tomatoes and fresh pecorino cheese waiting for us! We toured some days and ate a big meal out but always came back to sit outside at the table lit with candles to watch the breathtaking sunsets for a late dinner of meats, cheeses, locally grown olives, bruschetta and of course that wonderful red wine. The pool was well used and clean as a whistle. We even loved having the neighborhood roosters wake us up each morning! Miriana and her helper prepared pizza in the outdoor wood fired oven for us on the last night! What a treat. The location near Montepulciano was perfect for our group after 3 nights in Florence it was just 90 minute drive south. The surrounding vineyards were ripe with grapes to soon be picked. We all agreed it was a special time.

Whole ordering process very efficient with timely reminders of payments due. Staff very friendly and helpful. Description of the property was very accurate but directions in need of improvement (SatNav found the property OK whereas road directions were inaccurate).

Property truly stunning and very comfortable. All the rooms nice proportions which gave our family plenty of room to relax in. Kitchen was very well equipped although smaller saucepans would have been useful. Welcome food and wine very much appreciated. Outside area is fantastic; great places to sit and relax. Table tennis area most welcome as it was a cool area out of the sun. The pool area was immaculate with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The gardens were magnificent and the views out towards Valiano are beautiful. Bikes very handy but could do with some maintenance. Parking area good. Thanks for all the information left within the house; supermarkets in the area were found easily. Would certainly recommend this property to friends as it is outstanding.
