A pizzeria and greengrocer and a pharmacy are just 500m away in the village of Pozzo di Chiana, with plenty of local trattorias also on the doorstep, within a 20-minute drive. Supermarkets in Monte San Savino and Foiano della Chiana and local small weekly farmer markets in Foiano and Pozzo della Chiana. Unmissable local points of interest are the medieval village of Lucignano, the walled city of Castiglion Fiorentino and the Abbey of San Galgano, along with the renowned towns of Arezzo and Cortona (the latter visible from the villa) which are both within a 30-minute drive. Siena is under 50 minutes away. Outdoor lovers can make the most of day trips to Lago Trasimeno or hike in the luscious Casentino valley, while the Terre di Arezzo wine route is perfect for wine lovers.

I don’t think the photos do it justice. It’s such a special place and combines modern amenities with old world charm. Our guests absolutely loved it. We spent wonderful evenings around the cozy kitchen table enjoying every thoughtful detail the owners put into the home.

La casa del Chiú delivered! We are a group of friends-Irish-all over 70-who all enjoy Italy-its culture, language , food, wine -and just living the life of shopping for fresh vegetable, fruits, meats and cooking and serving the produce and enjoying! The location could not have been better. House was a simple delight. Dani was great-so welcoming and helpful. A great house, thank you!

For more than 20 years, our family has been spending summer holidays in Tuscany. But La Casa del Chiú is by the best place we have experienced. A wonderful view with a beautiful, renovated house with all the amenities one could wish. We had excellent cooking by Tuscan Alessandro and of course a big thank you to Dani. We had a memorable vacation! Grazie mille!

So much peace and good energy at La Casa del Chiú. Our family was able to relax, explore and enjoy beautiful Tuscany. Dani took excellent care of us and shared delicious food. What an incredible week at La Casa del Chiu'! First of all, the views are breathtaking every single time your eyes meet the horizon, in any direction! We loved the pool, Dany's meals,bocce ball, all the splendid flowers, enjoying plenty of outdoor time, and our easy access to Montepulciano, Siena, Lago Trasimeno, and Cortona. We had a wonderful stay here. The house, pool and gardens worked so well to us all, not least our two grandchildren, who spent most of their time in the pool or running around the garden - exhausted by bed-time. We spent a fantastic week here at the villa – our first time in Tuscany- and now wow it’s been such a wonderful week. We have loved the villa, region, days out, cooking, relaxing and meeting Daniela (who has been amazing on helping and advising us of the villa and local area :) We will be back 100%.
