At the heart of the famous Crete Senesi, about 12km/7 miles south of Siena. Choice of shops, bars and restaurants are at nearby Monteroni d'Arbia, about 7km/4 miles. It's a 15-minute drive southwards to Murlo, where a great little museum displays the worldly goods of an Etruscan family who lived here 2500 years ago. Buonconvento, 20 minutes, has a lovely "centro storico", and 30km/19 miles further along is Montalcino, a classic Tuscan hill town where the world famous "Brunello Di Montalcino" wine it's produced. The heart of Chianti and San Gimignano can be reached in about a hour with Florence about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Dear Oana and Andrea (and Victor) thank you for a most wonderful stay here at La Piana. A force of 20 came from the icy Norway to enjoy 7 hot and perfect days in Bella Toscana! The country side, the pool, the medieval hilltop cities and the wonderful host. All perfect!. The two houses were perfect for our big family and we simply loved the pool. Especially the children. Thanks so much for allowing us to rent your wonderful villa here in lovely Toscana. The pool is great + I swam daily + sunned/warmed in the hot Tuscan sun. the caretakers Andrea + Oana are lovely, helpful + charming. Thank you. The surrounding territory is everything + even more than its prime reputation. We were able to enjoy wine tasting + winery tours without reservations/appointments. Siena is also wonderful. Lots of people watching around Il Duomo (the cathedral) + Il Palio – where they race horses in July + August each year. The dining is great everywhere especially the wood pizza. Reuniting our American and Dutch families at La Piana was a magical and happy experience for us all. Cooking together in a very well stocked kitchen, lounging relaxed to the pool, enjoying meals a the long and accommodating tables, and savouring the beautiful views over rolling hills created unforgettable memories for us all. We all felt the magic of this lovingly restored villa in the glorious Tuscan countryside.
Hours spent happily splashing in the pool with our granddaughters, three generations of our family cooking together in the kitchen, daytrips visiting, nearby charming villages, and just relaxing in the calm beauty of the environment have made this a truly memorable family experience. What a wonderful place! We have been to Tuscany for 30 years and La Piana is now one of our favourite places. We loved everything: the view of the rolling hills & Siena, the mix of classic and modern interior, the pool. We had great excursions to Siena, Montalcino and Pienza which were all so easy to get to most of all, we loved having our large, international family all in one place which made us feel home. Grazie to Oana and Andrea for the hospitality and the amazing meal for our final night! We have such wonderful new memories now and we can’t wait to have more like this in the future. On our arrival Luana, Andrea, and family welcomed us. They feel like family and I will miss them. Luana was attentive to any of our concerns and promptly dealt with any issues. And our children have already mentioned it, it was with pleasure that we returned each day to la Piana after exploring the stunning hill towns of Tuscany! What an absolutely wonderful Villa. A perfect setting with panoramic views whenever you are inside the Villa or outside in the gardens, or by the pool. Luana and Andrea were incredibly welcoming and took great care of us. Cooking delicious Italian dinners and making sure we had everything we needed. We hosted 2 birthday celebrations over the 3 weeks, with 2 sets of guests, all of whom had a fantastic time with us swimming in the wonderful pool.

Stunning views in all directions. Peace and quiet (even the combined harvesters' delightful background. Spacious house with flexible accommodation for the various combination of friends and family. Luana and Andrea looked at us so well- always made to sort out any wiggles and to cook us wonderful food. Great pool with good sunbathing areas and umbrellas- really useful to have the pool home with fridge and loo. And to top it all we had the most enormous electric lightning storm to break up 3 weeks of gorgeous sunshine.

The views are beautiful, the house is full of history and beautiful as well. Our favorite part of the visit was driving to discover nearby towns during the day and cooking together at night.
the highlight of our trip was learning to cook traditional italian food with Emilio, delicious!

We have had a wonderful week in La Piana. thank you for the generous welcome pack and to Kadija and Alex for being on hand when we needed to ask a question.
The pool and pool house are, we think, the areas we have spent the most time and have most enjoyed. The views are incredible!
Having said that, we also loved the outside sealing area and indoor pool table.
we'd recommend going to the market (on Tuesday) in Monteroni d'Arbia and the butcher in town is good too.
We have been a party of 11 people, generations of family and we have had the most amazing time. thank you!

We could not believe our eyes when we arrived at "La Piana" It was a long time dream finally come true. We loved the house and immediately felt in love with this 360* view. Breathtaking!! We enjoyed every minute of our 15 days stay! Kadija and Alex made it perfect they were really nice and they were there every time we needed them. We love driving each day to discover new towns and places around Tuscany but loved even more when we came back to this "Oasis" to take a swim at its beautiful pool and enjoyed some good Italian food (and of course wine!) under the pergola. One of our highlights was having our bikes and riding along the hills to discover little towns and breathtaking views. We are going to miss this place but we are taking some good and special memories of "La Piana"

Our stay at La Piana was a dream come true. We have wanted to gather our far flung family in a place where we could all make memories to last our lifetimes. And everything that we enjoyed here far exceeded our hopes. The estate is magical. The vistas inspiring. The superb hospitality and cooking of Khadija was all we could have asked for. And her husband keeps the home, the pool and the grounds amazingly maintained. This was family's vacation of a lifetime. This was our family's vacation of a lifetime. We hope we will manage to come back and do it all again in the future!

My first trip to Italy was made perfect by my stay at La Piana. Every girl grows up wanting to live in a castle one day, and this place fulfilled my fantasy. The estate is beautiful and Diana is the most charming host and a wonderful cook. I can thank her enough for her hospitality and wonderful suggestions. I would stay here again and again and again, and I am looking forward to my next stay.
My big brother had his birthday here and we all arrived at La Piana for an amazing week of celebrations with friends and family. It was a beautiful spot and great location for all of the exploring we did in the Chianti.

Good handling, good management of the corona issue

Very spacious farmhouse, very well equipped with everything you need for large groups. I especially want to mention the very nice caretaker couple who were very helpful. Large offer also for young people on the area.
Improvement: this price must include cleaning once a week, if necessary also a service every 2 days for a few hours.

Everything were excelent, the house, the city, the person who works there, the food and the area. Was a greatiful time.
