On a hillside within a working 300ha/900-acre farm, which guests are free to explore at leisure. Acone, 3km/2 miles, is the nearest village and offers a mini supermarket and a good pizzeria. The town of Rufina with its wine museum and a wider selection of shops is 7km/4 miles away, and the centre of Florence can be reached in 40 minutes.

By Car:
Motorway exit at Firenze Sud, 25km/16 miles along paved but occasionally narrow roads to the property’s white drive. Self driven people carriers up to a maximum of 5 people and chauffeur driven mini buses up to a maximum of 18 people are permitted en-route from Rufina to the property. Note that this is due to local legislation. Parking for four cars.

I would like to thank you for the great vacation at your amazing farm. We had a great time here. The cooking workshop with the winning team, Franchesco and Aziz, was very fun and tasty. Tomorrow we are leaving, one more day... and we have a crisis... no one wants to leave. We have to go back to our lives back home, work, schools and the usual, but why?
We feel privilege to have been here, what a wonderful place... Petroio estate is filled with all those small details that make magic out of your stay. The splendour and design, the old with the new. The wonderful nature outside and the Tuscan region with Firenze. We came to celebrate the end of summer, for a birthday and just spend time together. Petroio estate with Edoardo at the lead but not forgetting Francesco, Aziz and the rest... Thank you all! Villa di Petroio is a piece of heaven on earth.

Dear Edoardo, Thank you so much for making our 50th wedding anniversary so spectacular! All of us appreciate the care your staff has taken on behalf of our extended family. The food of course is wonderful and your visits with us have been very special. We are sad that our stay has come to the end but we have now a new friend in Tuscany! In one word -- Edoardo. Our host went above and beyond the call of duty from the very first day until after we had even left. All 25 of us agreed that this was the trip of a lifetime. Without Edoardo's attention to detail it would not have been half as perfect.
