While the village of Certaldo lies just 10km from Maggiano Piccolo, the renowned towns of Barberino Val di Pesa, San Casciano Val di Pesa, Tavarnelle and the medieval town of San Gimignano, are all within a 20-minute drive. Not far from the villa you'll also find the Via Francigena, an ancient road and pilgrimage route running from Canterbury to Rome, as well as other spectacular walking and cycling routes. The nearest restaurant, pizzeria and bar are less than a 30-minute walk away in Lucardo, while local farmers' markets can be found in Certaldo and San Gimignano.

Thank you for an amazing week’s accommodation. The villa Is fabulous + we have enjoyed lazy mornings, swimming in the pool, BBQs + restful sleep. We have had 2 fabulous dinners at Casa chianti so would highly recommend. We also did a wine + olive oil tasting with Donato at Villa Il Pozzo. If you have the opportunity please go! We would highly recommend this villa to others + may return ourselves. It was the perfect base to explore Florence, Pisa, Certaldo + San Gimignano 😊 The Rooneys XXXX

The perfect place for our little family to enjoy our stay in Tuscany. A bit of an adventure getting the 9-person van up and down the little roads but we will remember those rides forever 😊 the views, the pool and the bright comfortable bedrooms were 100% worth it!! We have started our search for our own villa in this wonderful area. With access to all the delicious restaurants and the best boutique winery at Le Fonti di San Giorgio we didn’t need anything else! We loved our stay at Maggiano Piccolo! The surroundings were a beautiful backdrop for our engagement. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and we had everything we needed and more. We will forever cherish the days spent here in Maggiano: a place that existed once only in our dreams will now have a place in our memories and hearts. The celebration of our anniversary here lived up to our expectations, and probably even exceeded them!

We had a wonderful week at the Villa Maggiano. We experienced a very green and beautiful Tuscan landscape – the positive impacts of the thunderstorms. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the Villa, the Tuscan life, the wine, the fine food...simply perfect! A fabulous house in a beautiful location, and we enjoyed our stay exploring Tuscany. The heat this week has been extreme so having a pool has been brilliant. The house so well equipped has made our stay so much more enjoyable.

What a wonderful house, with an amazing view, especially the dining sunset. Dinners outside, close to the pool and candles and nice food- always great.
A short trip to the lovely cities around or to outstanding Firenze is always worth the ride. We would love to come back, all 6 of us. A great thank you to Stefy it was a pleasure to meet a new friend. And to all the next guests, listen carefully to all the tips. Every restaurant and place we tried was worth it.

Extremely spacious, comfortable, well equipped and clean house.
We didn't book extra service but would like to send our compliment to Stefania, our concierge.
We received from her warm welcome. She has ensured some basic groceries for us arriving at the evening.
She was so king booking excellent restaurants and wineries for us during the stay.

We had a lovely stay at this house. The views we will never forget and gave us sweet memories. In the morning our fresh coffee at the lounge chairs, making plans for the day. At night having a lovely BBQ and glass of Tuscany wine re-live our days in Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and all the other beautiful places. This week with her family was one of the best!!
