The walled town of Volterra (19km/11mil) with its artisan shops and Etruscan and Roman landmarks is under 30 minutes away. The villa sits on the edge of the beautiful Berignone Nature Reserve, accessible by hiking and biking trails from the villa. Nearby, the charming town of Casole d’Elsa (11km/6mil) offers local trattorias, a gelateria, and shops. The region is scattered with pretty medieval hill towns like Colle di Val d’Elsa (28km/13mil) and Barberino Val d’Elsa (38km/23mil). Meanwhile, the medieval towers of San Gimignano (23km/14mil) and famous Campo of Siena (48km/23mil) are both under an hour away.
