Poggiobuono is set on a soft hill top just outside the village of Gallina, near Bagno Vignoni famous for its hot water springs, South of Siena, in the Val d’Orcia valley which is a Unesco World Heritage site. Further to the beauty of its landscapes this area is also renowned for its thermal spas. In the village of Gallina there is a bar and a restaurant. The nearest village with a choice of shops, bar and restaurants is San Quirico d’Orcia which also has post office and pharmacy , 14km/9 miles. Hill towns abound, including Castiglione d'Orcia, 9 km/ 5.5 miles; Pienza, 22 km/13.5 miles; and further afield Montepulciano, 24km/15 miles and Montalcino 28km/17 miles. An hour’s drive might take you to Siena 60km/37 miles, Orvieto and Cortona both 75km/44 miles, or for a fantastic view, up to the peak of Monte Amiata 30 km/19 miles.

This is our second holiday with Billy (Bambino) and now that he is one years and crewing and standing, we couldn’t have stayed in a more perfect villa. The facilities are wonderful, spacious, comfortable and met all our needs. We had most of our meals outside, enjoying the view. The “infinity” pool was refreshing, and we have spent hours sunbathing, looking up the sun and 360 views. Small towns nearby are beautiful and offer sight-seeing walking and gastronomic experiences. Bagno Vignoni offers not only thermal baths but also many café and restaurants. Daniela cooked us the most amazing meal and “Bambino” loved her gnocchi so much! Pietro is the most attentive host and has been helpful with all our enquiries!

It was an unforgettable week! Our second time in Poggiobuono, you cannot find this views elsewhere… the area of Val d’Oria is full of picturesque villages and impressive landscapes! Also in love with the food and wine. We will miss this experience! The Panouris family.

Our stay at Poggiobuono was wonderful. It was everything we had hoped for. Our caretaker, Manola, was great at answering all of our questions promptly. We had Daniella cook us meals twice. They were excellent and she was very efficient. Dealing TN&M was a pleasure. I will definitely recomment their services to others.

We had a stunning time, with awesome weather and great views. Loved all of Tuscany especially the steaks, pasta and wine. Sunsets drinks will be missed. Love waking up early to see the local wildlife. The deers, hares, foxes and birds were everywhere. We also saw a porcupine on the road down from Castiglione d'Orcia. Can't wait to come back soon!! :)

What a fantastic place! The views are spectacular! We really enjoyed the local restaurants, especially Hotel Osteria dell'Orcia and Ristorante Il Pulcino a Montepulciano.
We had a relaxing time enjoying the culture and friendly lolcals.

What a wonderful week my family and frineds had. from the amazing views to the wonderful bedrooms to the pool. Lot of relaxing nights with good friends and good wine. Our cook was amazing and she made us kid-friendly tiramisu which was "better than the one of the fancy restaurants" according to my kids.Loved the local towns but also radda in Chianti and siena - both pretty easy drives from here.
We are already talking about another trip back. Will miss sitting outside at night...

What a wonderfull week my family and friends had!
From the amazing views to the wonderful bedrooms(yes, ac was needed a few nights) to the pool. Lots of relaxing nights with good friends and wine. Our cook was amazing too. She made no kid-friendly tiramisu which was "better than on the fancy restaurant" according to my kids!
Loved the local towns, but also Radda in Chianti and Siena - both pretty and easy drives from the villa.
We are already talking about another trip here. Will miss sitting outside at night...

We had a lovely 2 weeks! We enjoyed the view, the area, the nice house and the fantastic kitchen to prepare wonderful Italian food. The small villages are wonderful especially Bagnovigoni! Thank you for the hospitality! We like to come back!

We had a fantastic week! The house was perfect: beautiful, peaceful and warm. We were happy to visit the area but always happy to come back for a swim and good meal. The 3 meals prepared by Daniela were awesome :-) ! We visited Montalcino wineries (Brunellooooo!), Chianti region, Siena, Montepulciano, Bagnovigoni and Pienza... wow! What a heavenly country. Thank you!
