Dear Querciatello, thank you for the postcard views and the surreal stone-framed sunsets, for the chatty breakfasts, the sunny pool days, and the laughter-filled games night, for every quiet moment and burst of energy! Thank you for the memories! They say a place is only as good as the people in it, but it was this beautiful Tuscan house that brought everything together! We had a wonderful holiday here with our friends and family, and most importantly, we felt at home. It is the end of our week here and we are Very, very sad to go. The villa is fantastic I views, facilities and space which you certainly need when there are 14 of us. Our favourite places have been the pool, which was greatly enjoyed by the kids young and old and the open dining room with its beautiful views. We all would like to say a big thanks to you for the hard work you have done in restoring such a beautiful plan and making it available to many. We’ve had a wonderful holiday. We had a wonderful time together here as three generations of a family. The kitchen has everything you could imagine needing for your many delicious meals, eaten al fresco with the exquisite landscape, tables decorated with flowers from your gardens and candlelight. The pool was in frequent use as the four cousins strengthened their bonds and swimming skills. The villa was perfect for a scavenger hunt and hide and seek. Thanks for such lasting memories. What a place! We had an incredible time with our two kids. They spent much of the time in the pool and exploring, picking flowers in your beautiful gardens. Thank you for an amazing holiday. We loved all the nooks and crannies of house and garden and especially enjoyed the pool. The ladies who came to cook our lunch were fabulous as was the food. Thoroughly recommend them. We loved the pool so much that we went in it everyday. It was very fun to use the floats and we enjoyed jumping in together on our last day. It was really nice, so we spent loads of time in the water. We had fun exploring the gardens, playing ball and ping pong, We also loved everything. Thanks

We thank the owners of this beautiful estate for letting us stay in their little paradise for this particularly wonderful week!! All 9 of us, we felt very comfortable, and we got to know the charming hills of Tuscany at their best. It's great that these abandoned farmhouses have been filled with life in this way and bring joy to so many people!

We loved all the Tuscan food and wine that this part of the world has to offer. In Ireland when friends and family gather as we did here, we have a saying to describe “good times!” – “The crack was 90!” Well the crack was certainly 90 but our stay here was 100/100. We have just completed a 6 day yoga retreat at this wonderful house. Amazing location, fantastic views, wonderful food by the 2 Tuscan ladies and La Rocca. The stables provided us with a lovely space for our yoga sessions and the pool area was perfect to cool down on a hot day, as well as an Aqua yoga session too. Thank you Per & Amira for all your help and advise before the retreat. You are both wonderful. Once again thank you.

A dream came true... experience Tuscany in its beauty, its beautiful buildings, its pretty houses... vegetation, the pulsating life, the light and the warm colors! We had a wonderful week under the Tuscan sun. Querciatello is such a beautiful place and all the love that went into restoring it is evident in every room. Our two families made such great memories here – ones we will never forget. We enjoyed daytrips to Florence, Siena and Volterra and had a fun adventure to explore the swimming hole. Our dinners at the loggia were spectacular – thanks to the amazing views and delicious food (we really appreciate the chef’s recommendations!). The pool was the perfect place to beat the heat – our 5 girls spent hours and hours playing together in the water. Lots of laughs were shared by all of us. We have come here to celebrate our dear friend Mike’s 40th birthday and celebrate we did. We were all so impressed by this miraculous house and its remarkable surroundings. Dear Amira and Per, All of our family were so very impressed, pleased, and enjoyed the way you both filled Querciatello with so many extra items, which made us all immediately feel at home. eg Books, binoculars, umbrellas, games, pool items, emergency foodstuff, and so many other elements It is so very obvious that the true love of the villa, its views, and the surrounding location was the foundation for the design and excellent work you have invested in building Querciatello. Everyone in our family fell in love with Querciatello and is extremely sad to have left it behind, as we restart ‘normal’ life During the past 2+ ‘Covid’ years, our family has mainly only been able to meet via Zoom/Internet and been unable to physically meet with each other: … Our two weeks at Querciatello means we now again feel like a complete family: Now reconnected, relaxed, refreshed, and ready to face our regular lives again. There are simply too many elements of Querciatello to list but the number of internal and external relaxation, eating, drinking and chatting areas is fantastic and very, very much appreciated. - The Loggia and the external ‘sail’/seating area was used extensively being one of the main highlight areas of your home - The superb works of art you have incorporated into the very fabric of Querciatello … with the marquetry deserving special mention, being of such a very high standard - The pool is superb and all family members spent much time in it, multiple times every day .. and was a centre for enjoyment, pleasure and laughter NB: Quinch was a game invented at Querciatello and while mentioned in our quest comments is something we would love to hear has been adopted. .. It is primarily a simple ‘Piggy In The Middle ball passing game but played with either 4 or 6 players in 2 or 3 team pairs – while trying hard to stay in a single line This game was played by all family members, causing huge enjoyment, exhilaration, and exhausting fun. The games room and pool were perfect for our teens and we made the most of them with a Teen vs Adults Querciatello Olympics which, thankfully, ended in a draw (although competitive parents were in the lead until the final round). We have relaxed, recharged, rejoiced and really enjoyed our delightful week in these gorgeous surroundings and would have stayed here for the rest of the summer very happily. Feasting together as the sun sets over the hills from the fabulous dining area and exploring the intriguing art and handiwork throughout the rest of the house and garden. The music and food celebration in Pomarance was great fun. You have done an amazing job with this villa. It is paradise and we are so thankful to finally be able to make it here after 2 years of delay due to COVID. We are three generations and two families and this was a perfect location to be together. Wonderful dinners and sunsets, fun in the pool, peace, and quiet. There was an area for everyone. Wow, what a week to remember! After 2 years of planning and two cancellations from Covid, we were determined to make this happen and it did not disappoint. This is paradise in Tuscany in a truly unique and special Villa. The gardens, artistry, landscape, sunsets, and welcoming touches from Pen and Amelia made for an incredible trip of a lifetime for our two families. We did day trips to Volterra, Florence, San Gimignano, and Siena; we lounged by the pool, played ping pong, read books, and cooked wonderful dinners. We loved the dinners cooked by the two local chefs who were delightful. Another night we had a cooking class there and ate the dinner that Liliana helped us prepare- all dining al fresco in the loggia. We are sad to leave but thankful for the wonderful memories we take with us. The Hadaway's and the Wzientek's

Good morning Amira and Per, We had such a wonderful time at the house! Thank you for all the thought and that went into making our vacation a success. Margot and Cecilia loved the pool and playing in the yard. For me, the highlights of the trip were the in-house chef dinners on Saturday and Friday, and the day we had Daria come for in-house massages. I highly recommend both activities for other families visiting. Thank you for your help coordinating these! On other days we did trips to Siena, San Gimignano, and Florence. Dear all, we thank you for the stay in your house. What a lovely place and so quiet. We had a wonderful time here, we enjoyed the house and the pool. So thank you very much and maybe we come back another year.

When you see movies, visualize and dream of Italy (more of Tuscany), this is and has been exactly that. The house is so grand, and absolutely stunning. Every thoughtful detail embraces the villa and hard work/love behind it. As a group of old friends of five, for the first time come together as five couples, we have been able to get to know each other in or surrounded in the most beautiful setting. Three courses each single day, greatest of wine … and most important: beautiful love. Thank you so much for sharing your stunning house with us. Love from the couples from the north!

We have arrived on 22nd of June 2019. We experienced one of the hottest summers of our lives. But within these walls and an awesome swimming pool it was a pleasant time. Querciatello is an amazing place. The house itself is fantastic and the landscape is overwhelming. We have spent a lot of good times here. Two weeks is not enough to explore Tuscany but I think we have made a good choice to come to Querciatello to start our adventure with Tuscany. I am sure we will come back …someday. Amira and Per thank you for your warm welcome and a lot of advices (manuals etc). Querciatello will stay in our hearts for a long long time. We will definitely recommend this place!

At 02:00 in the night, we found this place in the dark. Tired and exited we entered this beautiful house. We have had a wonderful week here in Querciatello. Relaxing and playing by the pool. Querciatello è stata perfetta per noi e la nostra famiglia. Si trova in un villaggio periferico ma in un punto strategico per chi vuole visitare Volterra, Pisa, Siena e Firenze. We have had a wonderful week in this truly comfortable lovely villa. Amira and Per greeting us on arrival and immediately made us feel welcome in their home, we have enjoyed every day exploring the region by car. Truly memorable. Every day though, we have looked forward to returning to the villa for the evening, and dinner and wine shared with good friends. Regrets? We have pair! No time for a darts match nor a game of boules! However, Rob and I did manage to have a swim in the pool on our last day! Temperature 23C – pool temperature 19.8C! Bracing but ok if you swim very fast!! Lovely week. Enjoyed every minute and will never forget! We have had a fabulous family week’s holiday in this amazing villa. There have been 13 of us staying including grandparents and grandchildren, enjoying the facilities. The swimming pool has kept us cool during a very hot week. We had a meal cooked for us by local cooks and were spoiled eating in the loggia with beautiful views. We highly recommend the Wednesday evening food and wine market in Pomarance, as well as the meal at the “I tre Archi” near Pomarance. Volterra is also well worth a visit.

Per and Amira – You have done beautiful work restoring this charming villa. We had never been to Tuscany before and were overwhelmed with the beauty of the countryside. The views are quite spectacular and the sunsets gorgeous. Most of all we enjoyed the villa itself! Comfortable and so very interesting. Thanks so much for being open to sharing it! You are both very kind and helpful hosts. Our favourites were the loggia dining and the Pomarance Thursday wine testing. There were 14 of us, celebrating Paul’s and my 50th wedding anniversary with our 3 children and their families. A very special time for us – thank you.
