On the western edge of the Chianti; San Quirico in Collina and San Pancrazio, respectively 2km/1 mile and 4km/3 miles, are home to the nearest shops and bars. Montespertoli, 5km/3 miles, offers a wider variety of shops bars and restaurants along with a supermarket, although the many hill top villages and towns will offer an embarrassing choice when it comes to dining out. Monday is market day in San Casciano in Val Pesa. Florence can be reached in about 30 minutes' while San Gimignano, just slightly further at about 45 minutes'. The Chianti can be explored at whim with its many hill top towns and villages. Siena, Pisa and Lucca are all reachable in about an hour.

We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta Almabrada with family that spanned multiple generations. It was a wonderful place to gather, enjoy meals, cool off in the pool, and enjoy excursions to Florence and various places in Tuscany. We had wonderful meals cooked by Liliana, learned some new cooking skill with Francesco and Paola, and enjoyed sunsets almost every evening. First time in Italy, had the most wonderful experience. This villa is absolutely breath taking. The view amazing. Each room of the villa tells a different story. Each bathrooms so special. Loved all the art and stone work. In the evening when you close your window shutters and door, you have complete darkness and quiet. I loved getting up early, making myself a cappuccino and walking down to the pool. Loved the sounds of the insects and birds. Loved all the butterflies. Our chef Liliana made all the difference. She taught us how to make fresh pasta, bread, cake, marinara and pest sauces. At age 61 I'm finally checking off "Go to Italy"! Thank you for building this villa. Italy is so beautiful. Two wonderful weeks in this beautiful house. We were joined by three families at different times during our stay. many hours were spent by the pool, more on the terrace enjoying delicious food prepared by private chef Joshua and Gessica - we toughly recommend their s=services. The food was better than most of the restaurants we ate at.

We were 4 families that got together after some time from not being able to see each other and our time here was filled with laughter, good food and the best service from a wonderful person that is Angelica. We had a wonderful vacation with family from California and Giovinazzo. We loved staying at the villa. We did day trips to Florence and to the beach.

This was a perfect place. I took my whole family on the trip, all together 20 persons - our 4 daughters, their husbands and 10 children, 6/7 months up to 17 years old. Every thing was up to expectation and even more, good location, good facilities, beautiful garden, recreation area including very good swimming pool.
