Just south of Lake Trasimeno and 20km/12 miles west of Perugia with a selection of smaller towns in the vicinity including Panicale, Paciano, Corciano and Citta della Pieve. Fontignano shop and bar 2km.Tavarnelle 5 km two supermarkets open till 20.00 and from 8 till 13 on Sundays. The major sites of Umbria, such as Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto and Todi are all within easy reach. The Tuscan border is only 30 minutes away ideal for exploring towns such as San Casciano dei Bagni, Cetona and Montepulciano. Lake Trasimeno offers many water sports to the north of the lake, fishing, boating and ferries to its islands which are still habitable. The lake is also famous for its migratory birds and has a viewing sanctuary. North of the lake lies the lovely town of Cortona and the site of the famous battle with Hannibal. The surrounding area is renowned for its Etruscan archaeological sites and museums such as Chiusi. The wine districts of Montepulciano, Montalcino and Montefalco are also easily accessible.

Our family very much enjoyed our one week stay at Val Ferrone! We are a family of eight travelers together from New York City and Long Island. There are six adults and two children (ages 14/11). we have been renting villas in Italy since 2014. We are very impressed by Val Ferrone. The villa is large and beautiful. The kitchen is modern with high-end appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you might need. Nothing is missing!! the pool was very clean and refreshing after a hot day of touring. We felt confident that the children were safe in the four feet of water. The patio is perfect for dining outside. The sitting areas were comfortable. The vistas were so lovely to view. It was easy for us to do our food shopping at Conad. It was a pleasure to use the washing machine and hang our clothes outside. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We loved our stay. We have had two wonderful weeks in Umbria at Val Ferrone. We've enjoyed lazy days at the villa with long lunches and evenings under the stars, day trips, and wonderful meals at local trattorias. It's been a magical two weeks - it went too fast. We can't wait to return to Italia. Thanks to the lovely, helpful and courteous Andrea for all his help.

We love Val Ferrone. Our family of ten, from all over the US enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful house, in the calm, nurturing, glorious Italian countryside. We toured gardens, historic hilltop towns and vineyards. Thank you a hundred times over!

The property was beautiful and the gardens were heavenly. There were so many places to sit inside and out that were fantastic. I was so quite and relaxing. We had everything we needed. .

All of us from 6 to 65 would like to say what a wonderful week we had in a beautiful villa set in stunning countryside. The villa had everything we possibly needed. With the weather in the very high 30's all week the pool was fantastic for all but especially for the grandchildren.
Also it was a pleasure meeting and chatting to Andrea.

Val Ferrone is wonderful villa in a fantastic location and was exactly as described in the brochure. Very well looked after and excellent facilities throughout. Great staff who were helpful, welcoming and very responsive.
